Welcome! You've found your way to....

You might say that this site is in the process of getting back online with content to be posted as it becomes available.

I thought that Nessie should have the honor of being first up on the site here. She was a good old girl. Later on I'll get around to putting up the rest of the collie clan.

Here Nessie is attempting to eat a noodle that I'm dangling in front of her. Every time I would fix something with noodles in it (or anything else for that matter) she was right there begging.

This is a snapshot of Justin walking along the north fenceline minding his own business. Quite often I had one of my old 35mm SLR cameras with me when the collies were outside. That's probably why I have so many photos of them now for which I'm glad.

All except Laddie, that is. He was my very first collie and I didn't even own a camera back in the day when he was around. But I did manage to take less than a dozen Poloroids of him through borrowing one.

As Shadow got older he had this thing for paper sacks. He wouldn't just grab them and rip them to shreds like he did when he was a puppy. But rather he'd carry them around (especially during mealtime) as if he were wanting someone to place a food item into it. Collies aren't dumb, you know.

We all got a big charge out of watching him during the holiday season because that's when the majority of the larger meals were being prepared.

My mom used to bake for quite few people during that time, so there were all sorts of pies and nut breads to enjoy. Not to mention the odd casserole or plate of fried chicken that went out the door to feed a small gathering.

Those times are to be remembered for they will never come around again.

As promised I finally found those old Poloroids of Laddie and most were not in the best of condition unfortunately. Apologies for the poor quality of this photo but let me assure you that it's one of the better ones. The black & white Poloroids had all but faded away.

Lad was the only collie of mine that had a long, narrow white blaze. Justin had a little bit of one, but really nothing like Laddie's. I like the blaze on a collie as it reminds me so much of Lassie.
